Looking for a counsellor can feel a bit like online dating- you’re trying to get a sense of who someone actually is, not just what they say they do. So here’s a bit about me, and you can see
if it feels like a fit.
Before completing my Master’s in Counselling, I worked in crisis support and alongside families- so I’m very comfortable sitting with big feelings and messy situations. I’m not easily shocked, and you don’t need to filter yourself here.
A lot of the people I work with are going through transitions- feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in patterns, or unsure who they are in this season of life. That might show up in relationships, self-doubt, emotional ups and downs, or big shifts like moving, parenting, or starting over.
As someone who moved from the UK to Canada, I understand that in-between space—the mix of grief, growth, and identity shifts. You can feel grateful and lost at the same time. Both get to exist here.
I’m not a “fix it” therapist. I’m someone who will sit with you, slow things down, and help you make sense of what’s going on underneath the surface. My practice is grounded in the belief that people are inherently resilient and that healing doesn’t look the same for everyone. Even if it doesn’t feel like it right now, we can work together to access it.
In our work, we might explore patterns, build practical tools, or get to know the different parts of you that show up (including the slightly chaotic ones trying their best). I draw from narrative therapy, DBT, and parts work- but mostly, I focus on what works for you.
Therapy doesn’t have to be perfect. You can show up unsure, rambling, or mid-thought—we’ll figure it out together. You don’t need to be in crisis to deserve support. Sometimes it’s just about having space to pause, untangle things, and feel more like yourself again.
